On April 23, 2013, Delaney Bus Lines hosted a new workshop tailored to drivers at, near or over the age of 65. The workshop took place in the training room at their new facility in Avonmore.
The workshop was developed and delivered by James Giroux, following a new requirement in the operating contract with Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario (STEO).

Delaney Bus Lines is happy to announce that James Giroux has joined our team as our new Safety & Training Officer.
James’ previous experience includes: certified driving instructor for Young Drivers of Canada, administrator for the City of Sudbury and driving experience with Sudbury Transit and Cornwall Transit.
Furthermore, James recently completed the Professional Instructor in Driver Education (PRIDE) course in Burlington, Ontario. The PRIDE program is an intensive 6-day program where participants are trained on driving instruction as well as in-class instruction.

The drivers and staff from Delaney Bus Lines were proud to wear pink last Wednesday in support of the Boys and Girls Club of Cornwall and SD&G, Pink Shirt Day.
The pink shirt theme originated from an incident at a Nova Scotia high school when students organized a protest in sympathy with a grade 9 student who had been bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. Two male students then distributed pink t-shirts to be worn by all the boys in the school, making a non-violent statement that bullying would not be tolerated.

Chesterville – Thanks to the efforts of over 1,000 bowlers from throughout SD&G, the Tim Hortons Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake raised over $64,000 this year.
The 2013 edition kicked off on February 2 in Cornwall where 202 teams – 37 of them new – participated, including one for Delaney Bus Lines. The Chesterville Bowling Lanes saw a doubling in the number of teams the following weekend.
